Lobo’s Mixed Grill is a little hide-away eatery where you find the locals gathering for lunch or any time. Sit outside under the shaded veranda and enjoy their huge roll-up sandwiches, scrumptious quesadillas, delicious burgers or cool down with a cold beer or glass of wine. All the ingredients are fresh and there’s something for everyone. You won’t be disappointed with the selection or the price. The staff is very friendly and the owner, Kristin, will strike up a conversation and go above and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied. If you need a break from the action on Duval Street and want to know where the locals eat a superb lunch try Lobo’s Mixed Grill.

Shane Morin served her country in the United States Navy as a welder. She decided to live in Europe for a while and then returned to United States. Shane settled down in Naples, Florida and started doing what she new best (welding). She uses recycled scrap metal that industries discard from the manufacturing industry. Schooner Wharf Bar

The Schooner Wharf Bar will have you coming back again, again, and again. The open-air bar will draw tourist and locals alike to their mix of special events, delectable food and unspeakable live music. The bar is located at the Historic Seaport in downtown Key West and has a second floor deck with a beautiful view of the classic yachts in the harbor. If you think you know every card trick there is, pull up a barstool and watch the “bar magic.” You never know who might be playing there that night. You’ll be amazed by the conversations that take place while drinking an ice cold beer. This is one of the last little pieces of old Key West.

Bonnie Koon is a third generation native Floridian from Riverview. She has created the island life style and fun in the sun through her artistry. Her passion has been painting objects that surround the lifestyle that she has always known especially the Florida Keys. Most of her work has been done at a miniature scale like the KoonBerrie flip-flop that is only 3″ long by 1″ wide with an original painted design on each. 1930′s Casa Marina Hotel

The Casa Marina Hotel was Key West’s largest and most expensive winter resort in the 1930′s. A beautiful sandy beach and thriving coconut trees faced the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel was built in 1921 by the Florida East Coast Railroad, not by Henry Flagler who passed away before it was built. The large building next to the hotel was the staffs dormitory and both dorm and hotel were closed during the summer and fall months. Today the hotel is recognized in the National Register for Historic Places. It has the largest private beach where you can watch astonishing sunrises each day.

Deryck Campbell is a self taught international artist that was educated in the United States, but is originally from Jamaica. His painting style consist of oil pastels that are combined to present abstract figures. The paintings are influenced by his travels and at times will tell a story. His paintings are subject matters that relate to people and events from all walks of life. The paintings communicate a particular feeling and are very clear with a bit of urban taste. Hemingway House

Earnest Hemingway and his second wife, Pauline, bought their Whitehead Street house in 1931. The carriage house behind the main house is where Hemingway wrote while in Key West. He was one of the most famous American novelist, short-story writer, whose simple writing style have influenced a large range of writers. It was in this house that he did some of his best work like “A Farewell to Arms,” and the short story classics “The Snows of Kilimanjaro” and “The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber.” Today it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.

Jim Abernethy love with sharks is very well known all over the world. He spends his time miles away pursuing the creatures year round on expeditions. Jim also operates a scuba charter that specializes in large animal encounters. His book, “Sharks-Up Close,” explores a decade of experiences diving with sharks. Answer to many questions about the creature exotic behaviors is included in the book. There are breathtaking underwater photographs of the sharks in their most obscure moments that are testament of their beauty to the sea. Annabella Proudlock

Annabella Proudlock lives in Jamaica, but is originally from Wales. She worked as an international fashion model then took up photography and loves to travel. With the help of her partner they found Harmony Hall in Ocho Rios, restored it, and opened it as an arts and craft center. She began to use her photographs along with recycled objects to make shadow boxes and collages. They consist of shells, seeds, and other objects found while she’s out beachcombing. Her boxes are sold throughout the Caribbean and can be seen at numerous Galleries. Her new series can be purchased at Green World Gallery. Each Annabella box is handmade from cedar scraps and is one of a kind.
