Alan Kennish

Photographer Alan Kennish lives and works on Stock Island, Key West, Florida. He has studied art and photography at Columbia College (B.A. 1968), The New School in NY, and the University of New Mexico, and the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Missoula, Montana. He also holds an MBA from Rutgers. His photographs have appeared in many national and regional magazines, including Southern Living, Outdoor Magazine, New Mexico Magazine, Albuquerque Magazine, and Key West Magazine, as well as in commercial work for advertising agencies. He has spent many years as a photographer and printer, first with the traditional silver photographic processes and now in the digital realm. He started Key West Fine Art Photography and Printing in 2001, and now works with many artists documenting their work and producing archival prints. Seminal influences on his photography and printing include Georgio O’Keeffe, George Tice and the FSA photographers. His current focus is large panoramas of the waters surrounding Key West, and floral prints of local tropical plants.
