Adam J Russell & Kelly Lever
As a collaboration between artists Adam Russell and Kelly Lever, Honest Works Island Pottery Co., is a family’s life philosophy and late night conversations made into reality. Adam and Kelly met while pursuing art degrees in Ohio around 2002. Since that time they have studied studio painting and ceramic arts at The Columbus College of Art and Design, Bowling Green State University, and the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts while starting a beautiful young family in the meantime. Since 2005 they have showed paintings and ceramic art in New York City, Washington DC, Miami, Detroit, Toledo, Columbus, Sonoma CA and of course their current hometown, Key West. After nearly 10 years working for non-profit arts organizations in education and administration, Adam and Kelly have joined forces and creative vision to bring you the Honest Works Island Pottery Company, a contemporary expression of an ancient artform. By showing the full spectrum of color in life and art Adam and Kelly encourage art lovers to make a positive, healthy expression and to surround themselves with the fullness of color and form in your everyday rituals. From morning coffee to family dinner to evening tea, make special each small moment and sanctify that moment with art.
